If you follow me on Instagram, then by now you already know that my favourite kind of breakfasts and snacks are smoothie bowls. The reason being that they are a quick and easy way to pack a whole lot of nutrition in one meal. I have so much fun creating my smoothies in the morning but lately, I have been obsessed with one particular combination. It is creamy, fulfilling, and super delicious. Meet your newest obsession: The Sweet Potato Green Smoothie Bowl. Yes, you read that right, you can use sweet potatoes into your smoothies too!

Now, before you start freaking out at the idea of adding some sweet potato (cooked- not raw!) into your morning smoothies, let me explain why it is actually a great idea.

Sweet potatoes are a great way to add some natural sweetness to your smoothies and due to their high fiber content, they also help in making you feel fuller for a longer period of time without spiking up your blood sugar levels. Furthermore, sweet potatoes are a great source of vitamin A ( in the form of beta-carotene), vitamin C (excellent for your skin and immune system), manganese, copper and B vitamins (which are essential for your energy levels). Finally, given its high content in minerals and vitamins, this root vegetable is a great source of antioxidants, which aid in combating free-radical damages and in reducing inflammation within the body. Need I say more?

Let’s talk about how to create this Sweet Potato Green Smoothie Bowl, shall we?
